How much does it cost to ship a car to Sabah or Sarawak?
Shipping a passenger car ranges from RM1,995 to RM2,540, and commercial vehicles (SUV, MPV, 4X4, Hilux) from RM2,065 to RM2,660. For example, Port Klang to Kota Kinabalu is RM2,245 for a car and Port Klang to Kuching is RM2,000. Motorcycles range from RM1,200 to RM1,560.
What shipping methods does Rentaka offer?
Rentaka offers four methods: Door-to-Door (the officer collects and transports your vehicle to its destination), Port-to-Port (the officer handles operations at the port while you handle pickup and delivery on the scheduled date), Port-to-Door (the officer handles pickup or delivery between residence and port, or port and destination), and Single Carrier (transport on a specialized carrier truck).
Which ports does Rentaka ship vehicles from and to?
We ship via Port Klang, Kota Kinabalu Port (Sepanggar), Kuching Port (Pending) and Bintulu Port. Common routes include Port Klang to Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Bintulu, and the return legs back to Port Klang.
What documents do I need to ship my vehicle?
Copies of the front and rear of your identification card (I/C), a copy of the vehicle grant, and the insurance document (for vehicles without a loan). If the vehicle is still under loan installments, you must also provide a letter of authorization from the bank.
Does the quoted price include insurance and customs clearance?
The displayed price includes customs clearance fees but does NOT include Marine Insurance. Door-to-Door service is charged an additional fee based on the delivery distance. Final pricing is confirmed once the shipping date and vehicle details are verified.
Can I ship my car if it is still under bank loan?
Yes. Vehicles still under loan installments can be shipped, but you must supply a letter of authorization from the financing bank in addition to the vehicle grant and identification card copies. For vehicles without a loan, a copy of the insurance document is required instead.
How do I get a quote and how fast will Rentaka reply?
